Reason for rehoming: These girls were all part of the big welsh mouse rescue last year. A man in Wales allowed his mice to breed out of control and ended up with about 1000 mice in his house.
Temperament: Friendly and easy to handle
Medical problems: Libby and Lois have some small growths on their skin which have been identified as benign blocked sebaceous glands. These are not a problem in themselves and are highly unlikely to need any treatment. However they do indicate underlying genetic problems and others with these lumps have died suddenly at a young age.

Re: Mice needing homes - Surrey (but can travel)
Neutered boys - Gilbert is reserved, the others are still looking
Girls - Tragically Lacey passed away last week after developing aggressive lymphoma Heather and Gypsy are reserved to go to their new home with Gilbert.
Libby and Lois are still looking
We also have six girls coming back from foster care next week so I'll put more details up about them soon.

Group 1 - Gilbert is homed, Virgil is reserved. This leaves Harley, Patrick, Steven, Duncan, Marblecake, Brains & Arnie.
Group 2 - Homed.
Group 3 - Libby and Lois are still looking and I now have pics -
Libby
Lois
Lois is showing off her lumps in that pic. As you can see they're not especially pretty but they don't bother her or cause her any problems.
We now also have the following girls:-
Group: 4
Number of animals: 6
Type/Breed/Variety: Fancy Mice
Sex: Female
Age(s): Born November 2008
Name(s): Vera, Verity, Veronica, Valerie, Vivian and Viola
Colours: see pics
Neutered: No
Reason for rehoming: These girls were all part of the big welsh mouse rescue last year. A man in Wales allowed his mice to breed out of control and ended up with about 1000 mice in his house.
Temperament: Friendly and easy to handle
Medical problems: None apparent but these mice are not well bred and may have problems in the future
Neutering: No
Will the group be split: Yes into at least pairs
Transport available: We will appeal for help with getting them to their new homes
Other
Vera
Verity
Veronica
Valerie
Vivian
Viola
These girls will be looking for homes in at least pairs and can be mixed with one of the neutered boys above.
Last but not least there's Bruno
Group: 5
Number of animals: 1
Type/Breed/Variety: Fancy Mice
Sex: Male
Age(s): Not known for sure. At least a year but suspect 18 months plus.
Name(s): Bruno
Colours: Black and white
Neutered: No
Reason for rehoming: Bruno also came from the welsh rescue. On arrival he had been badly attacked by other mice. He is ok now but we don't feel that neutering him would be fair so he needs a home on his own.
Temperament: Friendly and easy to handle
Medical problems: Bruno's skin and coat were damaged by being attacked and haven't recovered very well. This doesn't cause him any problems, he just looks like a scruff bless him. As with all the welsh mice his breeding is terrible so other problems might occur.
Neutering: No
Will the group be split: N/A
Transport available: We will appeal for help with getting his to his new home

Handleability depends a lot on background and how much time owner puts in to building a relationship with them really as with any rodent. They're not overly bitey unless given reason to feel threatened. I wouldn't recommend them for children under 12 really as they are small, delicate and quite quick.

Re: Mice needing homes - Surrey (but can travel)
Poor Bruno, Have you had any response for him?
I've kept hamsters, gerbils, rabbits, guinea pigs and all sorts in the past. Where would he need collecting from? If it's not to far from me and if you guys are interested then maybe I could take him on board?
Who do I speak to for more information please?

Nothing permanent. He is in a foster home so he can get more attention but this is only for a couple of months. He is currently in Clapham but could also be collected from Wallington, near Croydon.
If you could complete the application form on our website if you're interested or drop me a PM if you'd like more info
Thanks
