Small Animals Needing Homes Empty Small Animals Needing Homes

Post by EmmaSemple Sun Dec 28, 2008 9:46 am

Here at Furry Friends we are extremely full of small caged animals. It has now got to the point that, after turning animals away yesterday, that they have started to be euthanased by their current owners through them not wanting to wait for a space to come up.

Listed below are animals currently looking for new homes. These animals are not looking for rescue spaces. They are looking for new homes and all come with rescue backup for the rest of teir lives. None of these animals are in danger of euthansia, but as a knock on effect animals are losing their lives due to the spaces that they are taking up.

We do ask that no small animals are kept on sawdust, woodchip or wood based cat litter.
A donation to the rescue is required to adopt to help rescue funds.

No pics are available at present due to a computer glitch but this should be fixed soon.

For the following animals please contact Emma Tel: 020 8407 1080/0797 356 9371 Email: Adrs@aol.com

The chinchillas are very much a bonded group. In more ways than one. They came in from a home who had left the two girls and the boy in together. The boy was entire when he arrived and was castrated straight away on arrival so there is an outside chance that the girls maybe pregnant. They are not showing signs of this, but if they were to give birth then the babies would need to be returned to rescue/homed through Furry Friends. Either way all of these chins are offered rescue backup! The girls are therefore obviously not spayed and these three must stay together as a group.

The only pair of animals I have here at present is a pair of gerbils. All the hamsters are singles, but still just as much in need of a home.

Emma, i dont know if this is any good for you but My mum works at Duchy College here in Cornwall who have an animal care depo and are always happy to rehome any small furries.
They basically will be in the college in the animal care depo where students will monitor/feed/clean and learn about the animals, they will be handled regularly and looked after by the animal Technicians. having been there it is a lovely set up with very high standards of care.
So if you have any small furries i may be able to help out.
