What you can help with: any animal which can safely be transported in a car, help/accompany any larger animals
How far you can travel: County Durham
when can you travel normally: When I'm not here my mother is so despite flitting between two houses someone is always here, best to ask

any other info that may be helpful: transport only for dogs and cats (we have four, one does not like strange animals) but small furries etc would be safe in separate cat-free room and could stay

Animals you have experiance with: Large animals, horses, dogs, cats, small mammals, fish, reptiles (to a limited degree), rodents, exotics (to a degree).
What you can help with: Any small animal - with having two of my own dogs I don't think I'd have room for another and my hubby is allergic to cats so I can't take any cats into my home. But anything else is fine. Apart from tarantulas or spiders of any kind. I'm not keen on our eight-legged-friends! ROFL
How far are you able to travel? Negotiable depending on day - I work shifts so it is different week to week. I also sometimes travel to and from North Wales as my parents are down that way so long distance transportation would sometimes be do-able.

any other info that may be helpful: I'm an animal behaviourist & trainer, pet groomer, pet sitter, dog walker, etc. by trade so have plenty of hands-on experience. I also work for the RSPCA and have a lot of past experience with kennels, catteries, veterinary surgery work (I've done Vet Nursing - part 1) and I've got 12 years horse riding experience with 9 years worth of practical horse handling experience.

**UNAVAILABLE AT PRESENT**

Forum name: Oops
real name: Lucy
postcode: TS6 8EG
contact phone number (if do not wish to display please put PM for phone number) PM
Animals you have experiance with: Dogs, cats.
What you can help with: Transport
How far you can travel: Up to 3 hours drive (maybe 4 if it's desperate) in any direction starting or finishing in the NE of England
when can you travel normally: Weekends Only

Other info: On the plus side I am a long distance lorry driver by trade, so used to driving for up to 10 hours a day, every day...The downside to that is that I am only home (so available to help) at weekends. Have my own dog crate (large collie size - would need to borrow for larger or for cats) and all leads, water bottles, bedding etc. needed to transport, and vehicle is 4wd so difficult access not a problem, even on the Moors in the snow!
