Re: RHU Walk For Animals
I like to live dangerously! I'm always available except on and around the 31st August (mum's birthday in Holland, and she is going to be 90 this year!) My postcode is PE12 6LD and I'll eat my hat if there is not going to be at least one rescue horse around.

RHU Walk For Animals
The RHU Walk For Animals is something that as a forum we plan to help as many animal rescues and charities as possible, whilst advertising and promoting RHU at the same time.
What exactly is it?
RHU Walk For Animals is going to hopefully be a yearly event that people from John o'Groats to Lands End walk/cycle/ride/jog and cover the 875+ miles. Each person who participates MUST have an animal in tow. Whether people ride horses, cycle with a dog, walk with a snake. you could even dress up in fancy dress. It really doesnt matter. Even if people can only cover half a mile it really will help.
An RHU Trophy will start at John o'Groats, then will be passed along untill Lands End, where we hope to organise national newspapers and TV for the final finishline (possibly local coverage on the way). Each changeover will be covered pictorilly, and ideally all supporters will be required to hand out posters on their travels and people can use/hold collection buckets for raising for the chosen animal rescue/charity.
When will it be started?
We are hoping to start it on the 1st May 2008
When will the trip be completed?
all being well, we hope it to be completed by September 2008.
