Desperate Plea on Behalf of Hillside Animal Sanctuary
Dear Friend
We now find ourselves in an extremely serious financial situation, which is about to affect our ability to continue feeding and caring for our animals.
We have to thank our regular suppliers of feed and hay and our vets, who have up to now been very patient and extremely understanding of our plight, but there is only so much leeway they can afford to give us with regards to settlement of their bills.
Regrettably, we have had to make some staffing cutbacks but the remaining staff have been brilliant in managing to care for our rescued animals in difficult circumstances.
Unfortunately, we couldn’t have predicted this current recession and all the spare funds we’ve had in the past have now been tied up in extra land, which is now home to the many animals who live there.
It is fortunate that we do have some legacies due but they are mostly reliant on the sale of property before funds can be released to us. These are being held up owing to the serious slump in the housing market.
Any offer of help you could give us now, however small, will be more than gratefully appreciated.

Thank you for reading this email.
Best wishes

Hillside are in need of funds for food and vet bills, they have over 250 animals; most of which have been rescued from factory farming.
Any help, would be greatly appreciated.

I don't think Hillside are a rehoming rescue, as far as I know they take in farming animals etc, but they do not rehome. Please update if I'm not right.
Hope they manage to secure funds though.

You are correct - Hillside rescue animals, mainly farm ones. These animals live on the farm for the rest of their natural life and Hillside do not re-home.
They have been going since 1995 and are having a rough time due to feed costs, vet bills etc - they are looking for donations or sponsorship funds - they are not looking to re-home any animals.

Re: Desperate Plea on Behalf of Hillside Animal Sanctuary
we have adopted two animals at Hillside, a donkey and a rabbit we pay an annual payment towards their everyday care but they reside at hillside where they will live out there forever days , the animals they save have come from terrible situations. They do a fantastic job so sorry to hear they are in financial trouble.
