Volunteers wanted Kent for ferret rescue ( also wanted newspapers )

Hello there and thanks for reading this.
We run a small ferret rescue in Kent and are looking for a few volunteers who might
have a spare hour or so a week to give us a hand socialising the ferrets and just generally helping out if needed.
Majority of them are friendly and as such you dont have to have experience of ferrets ( they are very much like kittens )

Ps. We are also desperate for newspapers - we clean the sheds , courts and cages out every single day and
go through a huge amount of newspapers ( have tried freecycle but no luck - maybe there is a newspaper shortage in Kent LOL )
Also blankets , old fleecy jumpers and that sort of stuff is always more then welcome.

Wishing I was near Kent! That sounds like fun

Cant help sadly as too far away, but as far as the newspapers why not put an ad in your local friday ad? I did this in mine as collect papers for Brighton RGT, and i have got about 7collectors from it now, it doesn't cost anything so perhaps worth a try?

Shame I'm not nearer.. I've 17 of my own and sitting playing with ferrets all day is my idea of heaven!

You could try contacting small local firms to see what they do with their confidential waste after they have shredded it... a lot of companies have to pay to have it taken away.... so if someone offers to take it for free then they may be happy to hand it over?

I used to get bags and bags off shredded paper from a local solicitors firm....

Have I got this right all you need apart from newspaper is someone to come and play for an hour once a week??

Can't do anything about the paper BUT I can give you an hour a week
