MAP

If this has already been done sorry


but recently i have been googling a lot when dogs in urgent etc come up and certain rescues offer but my knowledge of england is cr**p so any chance of a map with all rescues on it so we can have a quick glance to see who is nearst and furthest away

There is/was a map in the pipeline for members to be added to it.

I think this is something for Kathryn and Vexy to decide as it involves alot of work

I actually going to buy a map poster to put on my wall so i can put pins in all those people on it

It wouldn't be too hard to do something like DogPages have on the home page where the map is split into sections and each section links to a page with a list of rescues in that area.

That would be a simplified version of what you are asking I think Kim.

it is a very good idea and would help no end when people ring us up

not sure if vexy started it, it was something we planned to put on the website.

I did start it but my pc crashed & I lost it
I don't think we should put a members map on the site as it would be too accessible to the public, but I think it would be fine to put a map of rescues on there.

I was doing a google map, with click-able pinpoints of members locations, contact details & what they are down to help with on the databases, which is why I think this should stay within the forum. Some members may prefer not to be included, so maybe there should be an opt out option

What does everyone else think?
