(repeat the following for each group)

Number of animals: 1
Type/Breed/Variety: Dog, Lab x
Sex: Male
Age(s): Approx 6
Name(s): Charlie
Colours: Black
Neutered: Yes
Reason for rehoming: Handed into kennels due to child's allergy.
Temperament: Good but can be nervous at times.
Medical problems: None known
Neutering: Animal will be neutered unless for medical reasons. Can this be guaranteed? Yes
Will the group be split: N/A
Transport available: We would expect you to travel to meet Charlie in the first instance.
Other: Charlie is a Lab X aged approx 6 years old. Charlie came to us via another kennels where he had been handed in by his previous owners through no fault of his own (one of the children had developed an allergy to him.) Charlie was not coping well in kennels as he can be a little anxious and also has a degree of seperation anxiety so we put him into a foster home where he is much more relaxed. His fosterer is working on his separation issues which are showing some improvement already. Charlie is house trained and travels well in the car.
Potential adopters need to have time to spend with Charlie to continue working on his separation problems and also to comit to providing some basic training. He has been through a lot and it will take time for him to settle into his new home, that could be as long as 6 months to a year before he is really bonded with you. Ideally you will have had dogs previously as Charlie will need an experienced owner.

Sadly Charlie's foster home didn't work out (not any fault of his) so he will have to come here to the kennels. Really hope this doesn't set him back as he is a lovely boy and he had made excellent progress. He really does need a home of his own bless him.

I have managed to find Charlie another foster home so he won't need to be in kennels after all.

Charlie arrived today for a brief stay before going to his new foster home. Can I just say firstly a huge thank you to Steph and family for taking him in and doing a fantastic job with him. And secondly, this boy is stunning!!! His pictures do not do him justice at all, he is much bigger in the fur and has lovely long chunky legs and a face to die for! He just looks at you with those big soft eyes and you just melt.
Whoever homes this dog is going to be wowed!!!!

Charlie attended a very busy fun day last weekend, he didn't show any nervousness at all, in fact he loved all the attention he was getting from everyone. Charlie adores children of all shapes and sizes and really comes out of himself when they are around.

I was at the funday and I can say his photos don't do him justice and he seemed very calm around all the people, dogs and children.
