Ive been reading some of the topics where help is needed and on tehre my name is mentioned as being pm'd but i never actually receive the pms

Have you enabled PMs in your profile? Also might be worth checking the old junk settings !

checked everything i can think of i receive perosnal pms from someone but ive noticed in the mass pms for help needed ive not received a pm

hmmm ive jsut realised , theyve said theyve messaged Bastian31 but my ussername is Bastian as i changed it , is this perhaps y im not receiving messages if so can this be sorted ?

maybe Stuart, but as our mods are relatively new it's also possible a little bit of human error too? I know I've been missed once or twice out of a long list of people to pm. I'm sure it wont be long before our voluntary mods get used to the new mass PM'ing thing. It's not as easy as cut and paste anymore.

will edit your details in the database. if your user name on there is different that could be why u havent received them. what county are u in? and i will check

I'm sure it wont be long before our voluntary mods get used to the new mass PM'ing thing. It's not as easy as cut and paste anymore.

isn't there? When teh forum moved you could no longer copy and paste a list of names in to teh single box. Now you have to ype it in a name at a time. Grrrr. Or am I wrong? I assumed that was why I hadn't been sent PM's that folks had posted they'd sent to me.

also diane your username in databases is The dog mother with a space i realised this the other day! so that explains that.

When you try to PM someone and the username is wrong it doesnt let you send the PM so whoever is PM'ing should notice it hasnt gone

The PMing system changed. I know that even if I have got the wrong words But yes, if the database has an error then please do amend it. It's only recently, when teh PMing system shanged that I didn;t get PM's so assumed it was a bedding in period thing.

Another gripe about PM's. The PM system on here is now crap; for want of a better word!!

One member can be PM'd at a time and when sending any amount in quick succession it says you have to wait a few mins before sending another resulting in trying to send the same pm to the same person 3 times before it actually successfully goes

Sooooooooo frustrating, not to mention time consuming. Time I, personally, dont have.

Just wondering what the update is on moving sites, if any?

Well I feel like a numpty! That's how I've always done PM's because I thought we weren't allowed to do it the other way! and yes it's a right ballache!
