Getting a bit uncomfortable

Post by redditchlady on Sun Jul 26, 2009 3:05 pm

This site is not making reading comfortable lately. Crying or Very sad Not saying the mods/admin aren't doing their jobs. (They must be working their bums off just lately)

Sorry, but it has to be said that new members seem to be joining to stir crap!!

Please, let us all be in it for the animals. Any problems with other members take it to pm or admin/mods etc.

This is a fantastic place to get things done, transport runs, home visits etc. Let's not spoil that with petty bickering. crossed

Just my take on things.

Good point - but if we ignore the pettiness and get on with the work we all do, then they will just get bored.

agreed and remember less bickering = more urgent threads being helped so the people who do bickering etc are only spoiling it for the animals too Wink

Hey folks, I agree, but am a little concerned. I know my social skills are not the best in the world - so please - if I think I am exploring a subject to find out what should be done - and you think it's bickering - give me a freindly pm to ask me to button it code red Smile is that OK? Some subjects are important though. Like policy and procedure.

I don't want to cause trouble, and never set out to.

(ps We know you mean trouble makers, not all new members)

Diane,

Please do not think I was referring to you. Hey, I know your spelling isn't the best in the world, but that isn't what matters hunny. hug

All I was saying is that we are all on the same side here, for the animals. clap

Excuse me but just which "trouble makers" are you referring to?

Just because somebody posts legitimate concerns about proceedures which are used to keep people and animals safe.... proceedures which used to be part of the normal running of this forum.... this should not mean they be immediately classed as troublemakers.

Methinks this board is getting very close to being like somewhere else I used to frequent where constructive debate was classified as troublemaking just because people weren't all singing to the same hymnsheet as the owners/mods of the board.

Can't speak for anyone on the team but imo healthy debate is great as long as it stays on topic and doesn't make anyone feel uncomfortable which unfortunately a few threads have just recently
This is not aimed at anyone in particular neither trouble makers or opinion givers Wink

I dont think the finger was being pointed at anyone in particular. Usually the OP starts a thread as a matter of interest and then it's those who reply that take it off course and it end up a slanging match rather than a discussion on how to better our procedures. Everyone s entitled to an opinion, of course, but some people do not respect other peoples opinions and that's where the problem lies. It'd be a boring old world if we all thought in the same way about everything.
