Exactly, so come on folks. Let's get with it again and buggar the trouble makers.
Excuse me but just which "trouble makers" are you referring to?
Just because somebody posts legitimate concerns about proceedures which are used to keep people and animals safe.... proceedures which used to be part of the normal running of this forum.... this should not mean they be immediately classed as troublemakers.
Me thinks this board is getting very close to being like somewhere else I used to frequent where constructive debate was classified as troublemaking just because people weren't all singing to the same hymnsheet as the owners/mods of the board.
Sorry if I have caused any ill feelings. Was not my intention as I enjoy coming here.
Totally agree with the bolded bit though. Hope it really does not go down the same route!!

Re: Getting a bit uncomfortable
Thanks for explaining Zoe
it's a nice thing to let us know it will be opened again when sufficient monitoring can take place.
I think most of us know when something we type is going to be inflamatory or not. If it is - either find a different way of saying it, or qualify it by saying your not speaking of anyone in particular, or not saying right from wrong. We are adult enough to discuss differences without getting persoanl aren't we? I'd heard a rumour that one rescue did not have a non destruct policy. So I PM'd and asked teh question. I asked politly, explaining I wasn't judging. I got a lovely answer and the rescue confirmed they did not PTS unless an ailment was so severe the vet recommended it. I could have gone off guns blazing and mouth in freefall accusing them of being a rescue I would perhaps rather not deal with. But I approached it with respect and found the rumours unfounded. No one hurt and a dog will now benefit.
I know life isnt always that easy, but we can all try to make it easier can't we? Just by the way in which we approach things that we feel unhappy about?

Re: Getting a bit uncomfortable
ninety plus percent of the time threads have to be locked or removed because people get personal or start naming names if everyone stuck to just healthy debate without doing this then this wouldnt need to happen RHU cannot be seen to be allowing slanderous comments on their forum and to be fair who wants to read a slanging match?
Also sometimes a post has simply been moved but because it wasnt were it was last seen it is assumed it has been removed or deleted.

i sometimes get about 5 pms complaining about a thread being removed/deleted and this is hardly ever the case.
we move on average about 100 threads a day if not more.
NO THREAD is ever deleted, many are sent into various archives. for example today nearly 30 have been moved/removed, from people accidently posting in wrong sections so we move, sometimes they realise start a new one in the right place so we remove off the public forum cos of confusion, success stories, non success stories, people having problems with accounts, contact emails and all sorts i myself hardly appear posting wise on the forum cos i am so snowed under dealing with all the admin emails, and pms, plus general forum management too.
