A young, approx 12 month old Springer bitch, possibly in pup, owner doesn't know, POSSIBLY WITH KENNEL COUGH, needs to be out by the weekend, a kind relative has offered to drive from Oxford all the way to MidWales and back to approx Strensham Services with the dog to help get her down to us this Saturday, THIS DOG IS NOT SAFE UNTIL WE CAN GET HER TRANSPORT RUN ORGANISED AND COMPLETED.

Loki the Siberian Husky is needing a rescue placement asap.

The owners have paid kennelling until 25th August and do not want him because he keeps escaping out the garden and out of his kennel and run.

He is an entire one year old, but up to date with his vaccinations. He is sociable although excitable with other dogs and great with people.

After 25th he has nowhere to go and will probably have to be put to sleep. This gives 5 days to find a place for him.

This is the gorgeous boy (sorry, forget to ask his name, but I will find out). He an 8 y.o. neutered male, sweet tempered and affectionate, and good with dogs, and a cat! He is slightly smaller than an average GSD in height.

Hope this is ok to put this in here but things are pretty drastic, I am allergic to my new babe, not just a wee itch but mouth is all swollen up and really sore, affecting eyes too and almost crashed the car, (as well as the usual itches and sneezes) have tried antihystamines but to no avail and just back from Dr's who has said she has to go.

It breaks my heart as altho she has only been here a short time she is the most affectionate wee thing ever! keeps licking your face and snuggling ...

She was shy at beginning with new people, but after about 4 times of feeding her she bonds very quickly with the pound staff

She shows no aggression towards people at all, she just wants affection.

Missy has been used alot for breeding. She has been over bred, with her pups taken away before she has finished milking.

As a result of this her boobs are saggy and hanging, they will be like this all time.

Staff said he isnt a problem, they can put him on a lead and do what you want with him.

For the past 3 months he has been overlooked, maybe because he has scars on his face

We dont know how he received the cuts on his face.

We work closely with one pound who provide us with photographs and essential information about the dogs coming in to their care so that we can contact responsible rescues around the country to find safe rescue spaces for these dogs.

just an idea that i thought might help .... me included!

would it be possible for rescues that ask on here to do home checks for there to be a brief about the breed?

for example, i own - or am owned i should say by an akita.. who has very different needs to a boxer dog.

Some akitas like to be outside alot of the time & would quite happily spend time in a run or kennel - yet i now know that boxers have very little fur underneath so this would not be suitable.

Everytime the page refreshes it logs me out, any ideas? also the layout keeps going funny again but worse than last time

Idea re comfirming homechecks

Hi.. I was thinking, that it might be an idea to have on the request for home check thread, the outcome. That way at a glance, rescues/interested parties can see who completed homecheck, when and for what. Thus removing a lot of confusion. Am sure all of us have nothing to hide in that respect and would be happy for this stuff to be on view.

If this may cause a huge pile up of posts still needing to be current (not that up on those kind of thngs) this information could then be added on to ...
